John,
I just read your article on your pec tear...DUDE! I can almost write the EXACT SAME story, word for word on my pec tear in 2005.
Some slight differences being i was competing for 10 yrs in powerlifting, i usually took all the precautions. it wasn't until i deviated from my working system that a more repetitive high volume system blew me up!
I attribute it to other things as well, such as mental and emotional stress of what was going on in life at the time and maybe a little frustration with my progress over the years. (@ 5-6 i was competing in the 165 class)
I managed to get a second opinion on my pec tear (which was also the left side), and was lucky enough to get it repaired. The first Dr told me the EXACT SAME THING!!!
I have written and spoke of my incident and I too have applied it in a positive way to help others avoid the same injuries.
Great work! and All the best on the rest of your life journey!
